Mara’s mission through her multifaceted career is to unite people–through the sharing of meals–via her cookbooks, culinary journalism, and media appearances.

Mara sees food not only as sustenance, but as entertainment and a high form of pleasure for people, not only in the creation of a meal, but in the dining experience itself, whether you are dining solo, with your beloved, or entertaining friends and family.

Mara Rogers  (whose middle name is also “Zoe” and who works under the name “Zoe Rogers” as well) is an award-winning author, media personality, and culinary and home-entertaining expert with a national presence. She is widely published and writes freelance culinary, travel, and lifestyle articles and is the author of nine cookbooks.

Mara Reid Rogers was the co-host of the national cooking series Cook-Off America on Public Television which was one of the top three cooking shows in the nation. She was also the culinary expert and co-host of the radio show The Midday Dish with Mara Reid Rogers on WJON-AM. Prior to that, the host and executive producer of the lifestyle radio show Gracious Living Today on WQXI-AM.

mrrc-008-273x200.jpgShe was a contributing food writer and food and prop stylist to the largest newspaper in the Southeast: The Atlanta Journal and Constitution, and former assistant food and entertaining editor for House Beautiful Magazine, as well as the food and entertaining editor of Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Magazine.

Mara Rogers is a prolific cookbook author. The South the Beautiful Cookbook, which she co-authored, was lauded—the year it was published—as “One of the Year’s Top Ten Cookbooks” according to Nation’s Restaurant News. And several of her cookbooks were main selections of national book clubs.

She has been profiled in many areas of the United States, in print, television, Internet, and radio, and is experienced in media venues ranging from satellite media tours to web site forums.mrrc-002-135x200.jpg

Mara has a Professional Culinary and Baking Degree from The Institute of Culinary Education (formerly titled Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School) she also has a degree in commercial photography and communication design from Parson’s School of Design in New York City, and studied writing and film at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She is a professional member of The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP).
